Everything took root in a dream, nourished by adversity and born of a difficulty related to an essential problem. EDP-Edition was born from an inner flame, an incandescent passion and a deep need to overcome obstacles, but above all, to respond to real problems. This publishing house was born as a lighthouse at night, faced with the shadows of silence and the invisible walls of the publishing world. By the will of M. HAKOU NANA Mike Franck, its founder, young Cameroonian writer and screenwriter, who, in his early days, had to struggle to offer his first work a light worthy of his voice. He encountered immense difficulties in getting his very first book published. The birth of this company was initially motivated by a personal need, became a collective mission, allowing each young author and writer to make his voice heard across borders. This intimate struggle has risen to the rank of a common quest, opening the doors of the world to the multitude of African feathers, so that every voice, every narrative, resonates far beyond the limits of the continent.
When he began to publish his first book, he ran into an impassable wall, impossible to find an accessible publishing house, no accompaniment, a heavy loneliness in the face of the steps, and above all, a glaring lack of financial means. This road filled with pitfalls opened his eyes to a deep truth, many young authors, just like him, overflowing with talent but remaining cloistered in the shadows, deprived of support. Thus, EDP-Publishing was born, not only to carry its own works, but above all to offer these young voices a real chance to be heard, to edit, to publish and to disseminate their writings far beyond borders, thus opening new horizons to African literature.
EDP-Publishing was born to offer a real opportunity to thousands of young literary talents, too often forgotten, ignored or made invisible. Their voices deserve to be heard, their works published, their names recognized on the national and international scenes. From this ordeal arose a vision that transcends the individual. M. HAKOU NANA founded this publishing house to pave the way for those who come after him. Its mission is clear, accompanying, editing, promoting and revealing the infinite richness of African feathers.
Despite the beginnings marked by major challenges "limited funding, lack of partners, isolation" he was able to lay the first stones of this editorial adventure with perseverance, passion and vision. He is moving forward today with unwavering determination. His company is now growing and is actively seeking collaborations, partners, committed shareholders and sponsors, in order to expand its action and strengthen its impact. Its ambition is clear, reveal African voices, fight against illiteracy among the continent's youth, and place Africa among the world's great literary powers.
Our team guarantees professional, rigorous and comprehensive support for every editorial project.
